On Monday, May 5, 2008, we met with representatives from The City of Broken Arrow to begin 2008 negotiations.  We proposed continued adoption of the following articles:

• Purpose of Agreement
• Prohibition of Strikes and Lockouts
• Savings Clause
• Holidays
• Vacation Leave
• Uniforms
• Retirement Benefits
• Long-Term Disability Plan
• Vision Materials and Paid Leave Donation Bank
• Flexible Benefit Plan and Optional Benefit Plan
• Dues Deduction
• Safety & Health
• Mutual Responsibility to Avoid Discrimination
• Longevity
• Substance Abuse Testing and Employee Assistance Plan
• Management Bargaining Agent Meetings
• Certifications

Furthermore, we held a discussion on Union Business which included Union Leave, Stewards, and Bulleting Boards.  Lastly, there is a contract explanation meeting scheduled on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at CWA Local 6012, from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM.
